Dr. Melissa Piercell, BScH, ND

Melissa Piercell graduated from The University of Windsor with an honours degree in Neuroscience. Melissa developed her love for holistic wellness and decided to further her education by completing the four-year Naturopathic Doctor program at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. To achieve the Naturopathic Doctor title, Melissa passed two sets of licensing exams as well as The Ontario Naturopathic Board Exams. She is licensed by the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy (BDDT-N) to practice Naturopathic Medicine in Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).

Today, Melissa strives to encourage her patients to take an active role in their health in order to enjoy a balanced lifestyle. The services that she provides for her patients include Nutritional Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy, Physical Medicine, Lifestyle Counseling, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Reiki and Bowen Therapy. Melissa Piercell ND, practices in an eclectic way, using all of her training tools to provide the best care for her patients, young and old.

Melissa has a special interest in motivating her patients to improve their lifestyle, by making changes that are long-term and realistic. As an avid runner herself, she stresses the importance of remaining well nourished and active. Treatment areas of special interest include anxiety, migraine headaches, diabetes, obesity, menopause and skin disorders.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, Sarah is passionate about sharing the benefits of healthy living and teaching patients how they can optimize their health on an individual level.  She aspires to teach her patients about how to enhance their wellness in all aspects of their lives.  Naturopathic medicine is an investment into your future health, as it focuses greatly on preventative medicine.  Sarah is committed to helping you achieve a healthy life for the present and the future.
After discovering naturopathic medicine, Sarah quickly learned the power that alternative medicine can have in a journey towards a healthy lifestyle.  Sarah obtained her diploma as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, an accredited institution that promotes research and education. 
Sarah’s educational and clinical training has equipped her with the tools to treat a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions, and has fostered her specialized interest in pediatric care, gut health and gastrointestinal disorders.  Health issues and disease processes are complicated, but Sarah will strive to give you the best care that naturopathic medicine has to offer. Using the knowledge gained during her naturopathic medical training and the clinical skills acquired from treating patients, Sarah will work in partnership with you to achieve your optimal health.
Sarah is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor through the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy Ontario, and is a professional member of both the Canadian and Ontario Associations for Naturopathic Doctors.
